Bo Nuage, a patisserie specializing in nuage cakes, is set to open on Melrose Avenue on Friday, November 15, 2013. The concept, which means “Beautiful Cloud,” is the first bakery to solely offer this specialty pastry in Los Angeles.
Founded by owners Pascal and Audrey Achcar, Bo Nuage is a Parisian-inspired concept selling bite-sized cakes comprised of whipped cream sandwiched between two layers of meringue, covered in whipped cream and shaved white chocolate. The take away shop offers 15 flavors of the mini cakes priced at $6 per piece and packaged 1, 2, 4, and 6 to a box, along with 6” and 9” nuage cakes, ideal for weddings or other special occasions. All cakes will be hand-made on premise from all organic ingredients by Pascal Achcar, in flavors such as dark chocolate, vanilla, salted caramel, coffee, lemon, passion fruit, pistachio, strawberry, coconut, almond, red velvet, chocolate peanut butter, Nutella, mango, and chocolate mint, in addition to gluten-free and non-dairy options. Bo Nuage will also serve a selection of Lamill coffee, tea, and beverages to-go.
